It’s week 3 of the Better Homes and Gardens One Room Challenge! And we are finally moving in the right direction. If you’ve been following along for the first couple of weeks, then you know that we had a whirlwind of a first few weeks that forced us to move a little backwards before making progress with our nursery. C’est la vie, I guess.
Long story short, we listed our Airbnb for sale earlier last month, and the closing date was last week – aka Week 3 of the One Room Challenge. So, leading up to closing, we had to completely empty out that entire 3 bedroom house BY OURSELVES due to social distancing. On top of that, I’m 6 month’s pregnant (hence the nursery ORC this spring!), so I can’t lift anything more than 20 lbs. So, basically my amazing husband had to move the entire house BY HIMSELF. We have been working tirelessly for the last 3 weeks trying to squeeze that entire 3 bedroom house into our already full house … alone …
SO all of that is to say that instead of clearing out the soon-to-be nursery (which still had boxes in it from when we moved into this house a little over a year ago), we spent the first few weeks of the One Room Challenge putting more crap into it.
While it might not be an exciting announcement for you all, I am beyond excited to announce that we are finally moving in the right direction toward getting this baby girl’s nursery together! We’ve ordered the bookshelves that we will be transforming into a DIY built-in shelf, and are making other final design selections, which I can’t wait to share with you all. Until then, here are the inspo images giving me hope and keeping me going while we finish the move!
