It’s week 2 of the One Room Challenge (click this link to see all of the participants!) and I’m excited to announce that I (finally) have plan!!! Last week I had a few unrelated essences of direction and now I’ve finally nailed it all down!
It was a full week of testing paint colors, deciding which (if any) of my furniture pieces that I already have I’m going to use, and spiraling into a sea of thousands of possibilities. I tend to go into deep holes thinking about various combinations (such as, “if I keep this ottoman, and use this paint color, this rug will work with either dresser…BUT if I get rid of this ottoman, I can use any of the 3 paint colors I’m considering, and any of the rugs I love will work… etc. etc. etc.”). Then I usually get overwhelmed, stop, for the day, and then see what I’m still liking the next day. I guess its my creative process?! Who knows.
As a little teaser – here are the final color choices for the accent wall:
Check back for the week 3 blog post to check which one I went with (after literally 11 samples!) or check out my instagram ORC Highlight!
Along with choosing paint colors, I was simultanously looking at the thousands of rugs from Boutique Rugs trying to narrow it down, choosing a fan from Casablanca Fan Company and some faux plants from Bloomr (because this room hardly gets any natural light). I’ve finally got most of the details down and can’t wait to show you my concept in next week’s inspo reveal post!
