Honestly, this is starting to get comical. Every year I think I try to break my own personal record for taking the Better Homes and Gardens One Room Challenge to the extreme …. that is, waiting until the extreme last minute to decide I am participating, not having figured out my design (or even my general design direction), etc.
So, here we are, 10 hours until the deadline to join, and I am IN! Deep down, I think I knew it all along – I couldn’t let this pass me by!
Originally, I’d planned to do a room in our new cabin in Sapphire Valley, NC. I had lots of plans for that one! But, if you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know those plans have gotten a little delayed due to the mold there.
So – what room am I doing? Our teeny tiny harry potter powder room under the stairs! This room badly needs it – it’s the one that gets seen by the most people … and when I tell you it’s in bad shape, I mean it! Like, holes in the wall, half-patched drywall… really gross eep!
Mood board? NOT YET! I literally decided to do this today so who knows. Maybe it’s because its October and I’m in the Halloween spirit… but something is making me want to play off the fact that this powder room is like a little Harry Potter room and do something a little **magical** but honestly that’s the full extent of my inspo. So stay tuned for next week!
