Last Friday I was lucky enough to attend a luncheon at a GORGEOUS home in Kiawah to celebrate a new line of blankets from ChappyWrap. The luncheon was hosted by Kristin Chambless (blogger and hostess extraordinaire behind Color by K) and several other brands, and it was truly the best day ever!
Kristin brought together a ton of different brands, a stellar Charleston chef, and an amazing group of ladies – and the talented Julia Dags was there to capture it all!
Kristin really thought of every detail! With a day full of photos, first on the docket was a makeup touchup and lash application by . This was such a nice touch and left me feeling like I was ready for my close up!
With rosé in hand and a fresh face, we got to swoon over (and snuggle with) all of the gorgeous ChappyWrap blankets. I cannot emphasize enough how awesome these blankets are! They truly “check all the boxes” when it comes to a throw blanket:
- Must be big enough to cover my whole body (including toes, without any gaps for cold air to get in!)
- Must, must MUST be able to be thrown in the washing machine (many times!) while maintaining softness
- Must be vegan (no wool! It can be difficult to find a wool-free durable blanket!)
- Must be stylish. Duh.
These blankets are everything I need in a blanket and more! Plus, the brand is family-owned (mother-daughter-duo!), and they got their start trying to recreate an old family blanket that had been passed down through generations.
The talented Chef Ross from R Kitchen gave us a little demo prior to serving us lunch. The lunch was delicious and I still can’t get over the tablescape!
Kristin has an eye for amazing brands, and the tableware she chose for the day was no exception! It was all from Haandmade from nearby North Carolina.
The peices were absolutely stunning – they had such a personal, organic shape, weight, and texture. They were truly gorgeous! I’ve since ordered a serving bowl and I can’t WAIT for it to arrive!
The floral arrangements from Juniper & Jasmine Designs were beautiful and totally my style – I loved how wild / messy they were! Those rattan-covered glasses are from the new Amanda Lindroth Design shop that just opened here in downtown Charleston – she’s an amazingly talented designer from Palm Beach, Florida and we are SO EXCITED to have her here in Charleston! And the napkins are Serena and Lily. There were a ton of other producst from Gal Meets Glam, Lisi Lerch, Beau and Ro, and more – I’ll be showing you all these on Instagram over the next few weeks (and beyond, because I’m obsessed and have been wearing these things non-stop)!
After lunch we grabbed some ChappyWraps and headed to the beach – they were such a great beach blanket, and I wasn’t worried at all about getting them sandy, dirty or wet because they do so well in the wash!
The new ChappyWrap collection comes out on June 3 – I can’t wait to see some of the new patterns and get my hands on a few more for my guest room!
