This is segment 1 of a 3-part blog series covering the Fall 2021 High Point Market. Next week, I’ll talk about some emerging trends that will be sure to start hitting your instagram feeds, catalogues, and everyone’s wish lists in 2022.
But this week, I’m talking to you about some of my favorite discoveries – from new pieces from some long-time favorite brands to new brand crushes! And be sure to follow my Instagram because I’ve been sharing tons of photos and reels from High Point on there as well!
- The Miracle that is Crypton Fabric. And the double miracle that is Crypton fabric made from recycled materials.

Until this year’s market, I hadn’t ever truly understood the differences between all the brands and types of performance upholstery out there. I figured they were all more-or-less the same. But if you want to spill your wine all over your sofa with confidence all while staying eco-friendly, Crypton fabric is truly the only way to go. Plus, it is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. Crypton fabric was used all over various showrooms – a true testament to its quality and beauty, since so many different furniture brands proudly upholster with Crypton fabric.

This year, Crypton unveiled a new sustainable cotton fabric made with 70% recycled cotton! Yes, eco-friendly, gorgeous sustainable cotton. Yes, it’s still as life-proof as all the other Crypton fabrics. And yes, I don’t think I’ll ever use any other upholstery. The Rowe, Cisco and Universal Furniture showrooms all had some stunning pieces donning this new fabric.

2. Brand Crush: Hubbardton Forge Lighting

When a brand that isn’t my “usual” aesthetic makes a major, major impact on me, you know they’ve gotta be so. freaking. impressive. And that’s exactly the case with Hubbardton Forge. Their lighting is made here in America – Castleton, Vermont, to be precise (woo hoo for American made… especially given the current state of the supply chain!).

Not only are Hubbardton Forge pieces of insane quality, every one of their products is truly a masterpiece backed by talented engineers, artisans and metalcrafters.

I was honestly too impressed for words. I was especially impressed because these products aren’t my usual style – but that is just because they are truly quality works of art. The intention and pride behind each lighting truly is at the forefront.
3. Sherril Furniture: Where have I been all your life?!
I think I might have been living under a rock, but I was absolutely SHOOK by the Sherril Furniture Brands showroom, and all of their gorgeous upholstery patterns.
And the icing on the cake — check out that passion flower upholstery!!!
