One of the best things about going to market is of course seeing the inside scoop on upcoming trends! This year, it was all about warmer colors, curvier shapes, bold natural vibes, a little more tribal flair, and TEXTURE ALL AROUND!

Warm and Earthy – I was very, very happy to see trending colors turning warmer and earthier. I’ve always been a ‘warm colors’ kind of gal and have always gravitated toward natural elements (or nods to natural elements), so I am super excited to see oranges, warmer browns, warmer greens, and other warm hues all around High Point this year, and to see even more natural elements everywhere – especially at Hooker Furniture and Rowe’s showrooms – they were really an absolute DREAM. Even some of the more I’m excited for the next couple of years – I think generally trends are going to be exactly my style. Woot woot!

A “New Kind” of Old Meets New
Stickley Furniture and Lloyd Flanders both caught me off guard – I was very pleasantly surprised by some of the newer updated pieces at both! Stickley won a Pinnacle Award for its entertainment furniture – their Walnut Grove collection absolutely stole the show with its incredibly functional pieces designed SO INCREDIBLY INTENTIONALLY! Let’s talk about this gathering island that packs so much functionality into such a tiny footprint – dining height on one side, bar on the other. Literally six people could eat here. Six!

Lloyd Flanders – source for the highest quality outdoor wicker – had some updated shapes and even high quality finishes.

Bolder Patterns and MORE Patterns!
Patterns were everywhere, and they were bolder. I am HERE FOR IT!
